Where to begin? This was home for 10 days…chyeah one gold rim bitch

Day 1 - Richmond/Myrtle Beach

Cold ass corn…
Hats off to Richmond, you guys are a nice bunch of cats…skated the Virginia capitol building? but got kicked out of a few banks…? not complaining though

Richmond…thumbs up
Drove 322 miles to Myrtle beach the same night…got there just in time for sunrise

Day 2 - Myrtle Beach, SC

Camped at Myrtle Beach state park
Met a friendly raccoon critter that night who wanted a late night snack
Nothing to skate in Myrtle Beach but fun none the less SC beaches > NJ beaches
Day 3 - Charleston, South Carolina

Charleston wasn’t too shabby…found an under the bridge spot, cops rolled up but seemed like they were concerned with other things that go on under a bridge

South Carolina…awesome beaches…fireworks…thumbs up
Stopped in Savannah for a minute and skated a rail…Patty B has the sexy pictures
Midnight/Day 4 - Jacksonville, Florida/St. Augustine, Florida/Orlando, Florida
Got to Jacksonville around 11:30-Midnight ish and decided to head to Kona Skatepark just to check it out…longgggg story short - hopped the fence and skated for a few mins, hopped back over to see a man walking towards us (who will soon be identified only as “Wild Man”) assuring us we’re not in any trouble…turns out he fixes the ramps and such at Kona had a few beers and stuff with him, he turned some lights on and skated Kona for hours…what up tony hawks pro skater 2

Kona has cats….just sayin’

campsite at Kona? “mmmhm”
Side note: They re-painted portions of the park because Tony Hawk and the Birdhouse team were coming in a few days for a demo…guess who got the skate the fresh ass ramps first? mhmmm
We left Jacksonville around 10 am and started heading for a beach for some relaxing time since the previous nights session was pretty nutty
Ended up at St. Augustine - The water was ridiculously warm and the waves were “straight stormin” not really but it was definitely the best waves encountered on the trip
St. Augustine also has a pretty tight concrete park (Wild Man told us about it)
They open at 4 however? so another fence had to be hopped, this one was quite larger but s’all good

From St. Augustine there was a quick stop for the evening in Orlando
Day 5 - Miami, Florida
Miami…wow

It was interesting for this to be the first thing to see when entering Miami…beach? i think…it may have been in the city…whatever
You see some very interesting things in Miami
Skating Miami beach area was awesome…Skating the city was awesome
University of Miami was great, apparently all you have to do to skate there is tell the security guards that you’re students and they don’t seem to bother you

Perfect place for lines…12 set on the second floor also filled with benches

Got to skate the wonderful “Orange Peels” spot for a good…10 minutes :/ worth it though
Miami bars don’t typically close til around 4 or 5 am? siiick

Peace for now Miami
Day 6 - Naples, Florida/Estero, Florida/Lake City, Florida
Miami to Naples drive wasn’t horrible, a friend of ours hooked us up with a sweet hotel room for $25…a treat from sleeping in tents for the past few days

I’m still unable to get over how awesome it is that other states sell beer everywhere…and for cheap

$2.77 for 750 ml of 12-13% wine? um…fuck yeah
It wasn’t even too shitty either
Took a break from skating for the day to go hangout at judge Judys house and swim in the Gulf of Mexico

Eventually had to leave wonderful Naples and drive as far north as we could go to get back on schedule…ended up at a campground in Lake City…met a cool pelican

Day 7 Atlanta, Georgia/Chattanooga, Tennessee
Had a little too many road sodas on the way to Atlanta

Hotlanta was…
- hot as fuck
- parking was a bitch
- skating was cool

ha

Found a pretty sweet concrete park in Atlanta to the right of this hobo heaven
I didn’t get any pictures of it but Patty B probably got all the pretty ones

I did however get a shot of the Chattanooga Choo Choo…

Day 8 - Lookout Mountain, Georgia (I think)/Louisville, Kentucky
So we stayed with someone we knew who lived about 20 minutes outside of Chattanooga and had to go through Chattanooga to get there but she lived in Georgia…weird? I guess
Got there close to midnight so this is going to count as “Day” 8
Middle of nowhere Georgia is awesome
…to an extent
had a roman candle fight in a hang gliding landing field with fireworks purchased in South Carolina…you can also engage in any “recreational” activity wherever you please
Finally saw my first shooting star…fuck, it took 21 years earth c’mon - it was sweet though
Anyway…

Drove down this sweet road to get to a sweet field to do some sweet hang gliding in the morning

All in all Georgia is not too shabby
AH…had a real Georgia peach…or three

So we left Georgia and headed on our way to Louisville, Kentucky to skate the Louisville Extreme Park when we came along this “little’ bugger

32 oz Miller High Life…YES - Best part: 2 for $2.33
Something of this nature is absurd in my neck of the woods

The Tennessee and Kentucky sunsets and skies were pretty tight

double sun?
finally, a picture that doesn’t do the Louisville park justice at all but it’s all we had

Got there around 10:30 PM and skated it for a few hours before going to the worst campground of the trip in Somewhere, Ohio
I don’t really feel like complaining about that campground anymore than I have to because frankly (heh) this is the longest time I’ve ever spent on a blog but all I will say is never go to Miller Campground (http://www.millercampground.com/)
Day 9 - Kettering, Ohio/Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Fortunately, Kettering was only a simple hop, skip, and jump away from the campground.

It was a pretty sick place but everything was pretty choppy and not fixed up since 2007…regardless for a few short hours we were the only ones there which made up for it
Headed to Pittsburgh after that to stay with some friends for the night before our 5 hour journey back home in the morning
Day 10 - Collegeville, Pennsylvania
I wish I could say it’s good to be home but with starting school a mere four days upon return I’d much rather be on the road for at least another two weeks
However, until winter/spring break and the following summer break this will have to do
